As Senior Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and technically managing Ansa’s enzymatic DNA synthesis instruments and systems. You will be involved in all phases of system development, including managing specifications and requirements, analysis, design, development, testing verification, and support. You are versatile and will work with cross-functional team members to facilitate successful product development across all teams.

Develop instruments and consumables for Ansa’s Enzymatic DNA Synthesis technologies
Serve as a technical leader developing system requirements and guiding architecture
Lead design analysis efforts and determine critical trade-offs to optimize system performance
Generate, track, and analyze data to communicate across multiple teams
Collaborate in a team environment: At Ansa, communication between teams is critical–our technology is built on enzymes, chemistry, and automation. Additionally, we believe that honesty and openness are an instrumental part of the scientific endeavor.
Bachelors / Masters in Engineering, Physics, or a related field with 5 or more years of experience with product development
Detailed understanding of the principles of Systems Engineering, system requirements, and statistical data analysis
Strong capabilities in managing, developing, and mentoring scientists and research associates
Experience developing and testing novel hardware systems
Experience with scalable microfluidic device design and manufacturing is a plus
Great analytical skills and a logical approach to problem solving
Ability to learn new technical areas quickly and thrive in a multidisciplinary environment
Strong interpersonal, verbal communication, and presentation skills
