Full-Stack Software Engineer

We believe high-throughput lab automation will enable the implementation of enzymatic DNA synthesis at scale. As a full-stack software engineer, you will have the opportunity to develop laboratory automation software with reliability and quality user interfaces for a complex high-throughput system. You will be part of a determined, collaborative team of curious and creative problem-solvers.

Generate user friendly software complete with GUI and maintain updates with version control
Collaborate with scientists to build software support that will streamline experiment-based protocol generation
Write and maintain software development documentation and debugging records
Create databases for data visualization, and run logs
Utilize third party APIs and SDKs, including .NET interfaces, to communicate with off-the shelf and custom hardware

2-5 years experience in software engineering with a focus on hardware integration, GUI creation, data structures, and simple algorithm implementation
Proficiency in C/C++ and Python
Knowledge of databases scripting language such as SQL
Experience with microcontrollers, PLC programming, and off-the-shelf linear stage controllers preferred
Experience with web-based interfaces preferred
Familiarity with serial communication protocols (SPI, I2C, SPI, RS232, RS485, USB) is a plus
Familiarity or experience developing protocols for liquid handlers such as Tecan/Hamilton/Agilent robots is a plus
Familiarity with robotics algorithms such as inverse kinematics, LSQ, path-planning/trajectory planning, and computer vision is a plus
