Scientist, Biochemistry

We believe developing and interrogating new polymerase-nucleotide conjugates will be key to unlocking next-generation DNA synthesis. On the Biochemistry team, you will be at the hub of our novel DNA synthesis R&D, integrating protein engineering and chemistry into a world-class technology. You will be a part of a creative team who get tremendous satisfaction producing and testing novel polymerase variants, developing assays for deeper interrogation of these proteins and

If you still get goosebumps applying enzymes to overcome unsolved problems then we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

Increase speed and accuracy of our world-class DNA synthesis technology by designing and validating novel protein-nucleotide conjugates.
Evaluating reaction parameters to further improve our DNA synthesis stepwise yields.
Design and perform proof of concept experiments to seed advanced research projects for new applications based on our patented technology.
Be a team leader: provide guidance and career development to an interdisciplinary team of biochemists. Assist your fellow scientists with constructive criticism and feedback.
Collaborate in a team environment: At Ansa, communication between teams is critical–our technology is built on enzymes, chemistry, and automation. Additionally, we believe that kind-natured honesty and openness are an instrumental part of the scientific endeavor.
