Basilard BioTech, Inc. is building a Southern California-based team eager to drive the development and commercialization
of our Celletto™ platform. Celletto™ is a disruptive ex-vivo gene delivery solution that improves upon the low performance
of prevailing gene / genome-editing methods by offering an unequaled opportunity for delivery of large cargos with high
efficiency and viability through precisely controlled mechanoporation. The Celletto™ platform’s scalable microfluidic
architecture is poised to transform the exponentially growing ex vivo cell and gene therapy (CGT) market with a lower
overall cost, and higher overall performance.

We are seeking a highly-motivated, hard-working, and entrepreneurially-minded individual who can help lead the
development of transfection components, protocols and applications for the Celletto™ platform.

The ideal person is highly organized, embraces being part of a new growth focused organization from the ground floor and desires to work in a fast paced, fulfilling, and dynamic startup environment with high growth potential. Experience or familiarity with non-viral gene delivery strategies involving surface chemistry modification, biomimetic polymers, electroporation, nanoparticles, etc. is highly desirable. Experience with instrumentation development and validation generally, and microfluidics-based instrumentation specifically, is desirable (but not required), as is experience in a successful early-stage startup. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in non-viral or viral gene delivery for cell engineering and be familiar with process development. You are an innovative and nimble problem solver that thinks critically and focuses on what needs to be done to create success.

Initial Responsibilities
• Lead the experimental design and conduct of internal transfection protocol development programs for varying ex
vivo CGT applications.
• Support external evaluation activities with strategic partners.
• Support next-generation platform development.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as outstanding analytical, data analysis and organizational
• Ph.D. in Bioengineering, Cellular & Molecular Biology, Immunology, Pharmacology or related fields (M.S. with
significant relevant industry experience is acceptable). Experience in an intensive applied R&D environment is highly
desirable as is experience in process development.
• Hands-on experience in non-viral and viral cell engineering and associated analysis. Experience with T cells, NK Cells,
HSC and iPSC is a plus.
• Highly skilled in cell culture, FACs, fluorescence microscopy, and immune cell characterization. Experience in qPCR
and next-generation sequencing is a plus.
• Ability to function as both an effective team player and strong individual contributor.
• Self-driven, flexible, pragmatic, and able to handle multiple tasks and deliver high quality results under tight

Initial compensation plan includes base salary and typical benefits. Job title and associated compensation will be based
upon the candidate’s education and experience.
