In this role, you will apply your real-world, expert insight to help our customers successfully navigate the complexities of small molecule, ADC, biologic, protein, peptide, and/or biomarker bioanalysis. This role is the lead scientific expert and main contact for our clients during the discussion of new bioanalytical LC/MS projects and throughout the assay creation phase of the project. You are also a teacher, mentor and coach to the BioAgilytix bioanalytical R&D team providing day-to-day leadership both in and out of the lab. Our clients trust us to find creative solutions to unique bioanalytical challenges, and this role provides the critical scientific leadership they expect. WHAT YOU WILL DO

Design and oversee the execution of the development of bioanalytical methods for small molecules, ADCs, biologics, proteins, peptides, and/or biomarkers using various techniques including small molecule, ADC, biologic, protein, peptide, and/or biomarker bioanalysis assays for support of preclinical and clinical studies
Manage and lead the team (scientists, analysts, and project management) supporting client solutions, modeling collaboration and teamwork
·         Collaborate with bioanalytical operations departments to ensure methods are successfully transitioned into production, validated and perform robustly during sample analysis

·         Direct, develop, and provide technical mentoring to staff to establish bioanalytical methods, solve scientific problems, and develop technical protocols

·         Provide client satisfaction, employee satisfaction, quality and on-time delivery of BioAgilytix services

·         Achieve corporate revenue targets

·         Align objectives and resources across all bioanalytical teams and projects, in particular assuring that resources allocated to a given functional group match the workload priorities

·         Ensure proposals presented to the clients match the scope of the project and assist with the preparation and presentation of proposals as needed

·         Monitor the production of regulatory documents generated within Bioanalytical Operations, in collaboration with Quality teams

·         Fulfill the role of Bioanalytical Project Manager for bioanalytical R&D projects

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

·         Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology, biotechnology, or related field with not less than 16 years’ experience in a scientific laboratory environment; or MS or Ph.D. with equivalent experience

Ability to develop bioanalytical assays including LC/MS by extracting analytes of interest from complex biological matrices using protein precipitation, liquid-liquid, solid phase, immunoprecipitation or other extraction technique
Ability to lead automation efforts to improve productivity in the bioanalytical lab
Demonstrated experience serving in a people management role and leading teams; exhibit active interest in coaching, mentoring, and inspiring others to do their best work and drive results
Ability to establish, maintain and deepen working relationships through strong written and spoken communication
·         Ability to consult with a long-term perspective in addressing customers’ (both internal and external) needs and issues with an intent to strengthen their business

Thorough knowledge of industry best practices of experimental planning and design
Experience working in GxP environments and demonstrated knowledge of GxP regulations
·         Advanced capabilities in data analysis and data visualization statistical analysis

Lead the team to meet objectives under time constraints
Acute attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficiency in MS Excel and Word
Demonstrated experience serving in a supervisor role and leading teams
Thorough knowledge of industry best practices of experimental planning and design
Experience working in GxP environments and demonstrated knowledge of GxP regulations
Experience in leading cross functional teams, bioanalytical operations, and product/project management in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry
