POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Tracy Laboratory at the Buck Institute for Research on Aging is seeking a motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team investigating the molecular events that lead to synapse dysfunction and cognitive decline in Alzheimer’s disease and frontotemporal dementia. This position involves using transgenic mouse models of disease and human induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)–derived neurons to dissect the mechanisms that trigger synapse and neuronal dysfunction during disease pathogenesis.

QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates must have a PhD in Neuroscience or in a related field and should have published research in peer-reviewed journals. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a vibrant scientific environment is required. Candidates with expertise in genomic engineering and iPSC technology, electrophysiology, proteomics, and neurodegeneration research are encouraged to apply.
