Laboratory Technician

Our Operations Team is seeking a passionate and dedicated Laboratory Technician to help us with lab and office operational projects. This is a fast paced opportunity to support team members across the organization on various projects. You will apply your broad experience to maintain and stock, lab and office space. You’ll be hands on with equipment, safety guidelines, shipping & receiving, and make sure everything is running smoothly.

Responsibilities include:

Collaborate with team members on projects, initiatives, lab and office improvements
Maintain media stocks for laboratory
Coordinate with vendors for facilities and laboratory equipment repairs and maintenance
Maintain security by following procedures, maintaining logbook, and providing onsite visitors with badges as needed
Assist with glass wash, autoclaving, lab cleanliness and organization
Sort daily mail and ensure timely delivery to appropriate personnel for lab and office
Assist with shipping and receiving
Assist with incubator and water bath routine maintenance
Manage chemical inventory for EHS
Qualifications:

Diploma, Associates degree, or equivalent experience
Experience working in a laboratory or fast-paced technical environment is required
Basic computer skills with databases and spreadsheets
Skilled in calculations for media/reagent preparation
Organized and detail-oriented while working on multiple projects simultaneously
Customer-focused with a can-do positive attitude
Ability to share and coordinate tasks in a highly collaborative team atmosphere
Strong and open communication style
Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds
