Research Associate/Senior Research Associate, Pharmacology

We are seeking an independent, proactive, experienced Research Associate/Senior Research Associate who will join our growing Pharmacology team! In this hands-on role, you will support a variety of exciting projects from early discovery through clinical development. You will bring a strong background in executing in vivo pharmacology studies focused on immunotherapy and oncology. You will have an exciting opportunity to learn cutting-edge technology being developed at Caribou while working in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities include:

Implement human tumor xenograft models, such as disseminated, subcutaneous or orthotopic models to evaluate in vivo efficacy of cell-based cancer therapeutics
Perform tissue culture. Prepare, formulate, and administer test articles via different routes, including intravenous injections. Monitor tumor growth, such as by IVIS imaging and caliper measurement.
Perform data analysis, summarize data, and present data to project teams and in other forums as required
Ensure availability of experimental materials and reagents and the proper function of experimental equipment
Keep detailed, organized, and accurate records of experimental data as required by company policy
Communicate effectively with line manager and group members and coordinate experiment planning and execution with Scientists and RAs within Pharmacology and across other functional groups
Qualifications:

BS &/or MS in biological sciences, such as immunology, molecular biology, cell biology, or a closely related field
Minimum of 4 years (BS) or 2 years (MS) of experience in oncology research, preferably with experience in an industry setting
Experience designing and performing cell-based in vitro assays
Experience in handling laboratory rodents
Experience in mammalian cell culture, particularly cancer cell culture is required
Ability to work independently under reasonable supervision in a dynamic team environment
Must not have allergies to laboratory rodents
Nice-to-haves:

Prior experience in evaluating cancer therapeutics using xenograft and/or syngeneic mouse models and using IVIS machine for small animal imaging
Experience in multi-parameter flow cytometry and data analysis
Work in pharmaceutical or biotechnology company focused on immuno-oncology drug development
Experience writing technical protocols and reports
Experience in IHC/Histology assays and microscope imaging
Experience with running and troubleshooting qPCR
