Job Description
Grace is seeking a Business Development Manager, this will be a remote position.  The candidate should be based in San Diego or South Los Angeles area.   This business unit of Grace produces a portfolio of products for the specialty pharmaceutical industries, specifically Active Pharmaceutical Intermediates.  Consisting of a cGMP kilo lab, pilot plant and custom manufacturing at the commercial volumes, the site is fully equipped to develop and manufacture custom drug intermediates and API’s.

The New Business Development Manager will be responsible for supporting business growth in the
pharmaceutical manufacturing industry and related fine chemicals by identifying and pursuing commercially viable
new business opportunities as well as promoting a favorable view of our organization, its products and services.
Activities include:

Managing existing customer relationships
Developing and maintaining broad contacts across the pharmaceutical and custom FCS industries
Identifying and developing potential opportunities that leverage our capabilities
Monitoring customer and competitor activity and industry trends
Sales training; market research, pricing, sales and merchandising activities
Sales operations and administration
Developing and implementing advertising and publicity campaigns
Required Skills
Must be able to travel at least 50% of the time
Experience with Sales Force a plus.
Ability to connect in a positive manner with new and existing customers and represent our capabilities
across the pharmaceutical and FCS industries  #INDEED   #WRGRACE
Required Experience
10+ years’ overall professional experience and five to eight years of new business development, account
management or relevant experience.
Experience with Regulatory Starting Materials (RSMs) and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API’s)
Experience with identifying appropriate clients and capturing new product opportunities
Preferred Qualifications
Typically requires a Bachelors Degree in chemistry, engineering or business with relative experience in the
cGMP, RSM, API field

Prior experience working with or for CDMO organization(s)
