Job Summary

HUYABIO is seeking a self-motivated individual to take a position in a fast-paced environment as a Project Manager of Business Development. The Project Manager of Business Development will be critical in creating, monitoring, and reviewing project plans for business development deals, manage business development vendor relationships, and supporting communication across the business development team including to executive team members; under the supervision and guidance of the Vice President of Business Development

This is an office-based position that works in a cross-functional and dynamic environment. Clear, timely, professional and effective communication with all HUYABIO functional areas and global office sites is essential.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the business development team in project and vendor management through the development and implementation of best practices and communications
  • Manage vendor relationships for the business development team in either in-license, out-license or partnerships across multiple assets
  • Facilitate communication for the business development team with executive team members including the CEO on status of project streams and strategic relationships  
  • Manage and participate in cross-functional team projects that include team members in Asia and the EU
  • Coordinate the business development team and extended team members through drafting meeting agendas and tracking tasks
  • Manage the day-to-day work on key partnerships for business development including tracking the partnership process, coordinating communication across key stakeholders, and providing executive summaries of progress
  • Support the business development team in projects as required including market research, deal development, financial modeling and other items as required
  • Travel to different business development and industry conferences as applicable

Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • BA in business-oriented or biological-focused majors
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry, for a minimum of 5 years, and 2+ years in oncology pharmaceuticals
  • Experience with vendor and project management
  •  Strong Project Leadership skills including a collaborative and team-oriented approach – and experience summarizing communication to executive team members
  • High-level understanding of the FDA approval process and types of clinical trials
  • Proven track record showing clear proficiency in project management across multiple cross-department team members
  • Proven complex problem-solving skills collaboratively and independently
  • Solid vendor management experience, e.g. Business Development Partners, etc
  • Broad understanding of in-licensing and out-licensing activities related to the pharmaceutical drug development process
  • Basic understanding and experience of financial modeling and market research such as competitive intelligence, desk research, etc
  • Expertise in PowerPoint, Excel, and other analytical / project management tools
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
