Job Summary

 HUYABIO International is seeking a highly motivated Corporate Liaison for the China Operations to join our dynamic organization. The Corporate Liaison will report to the Senior Vice President, Corporate Development, China, and interact with both the San Diego and China-based offices. The position will be responsible for performing a number of administrative duties; be a highly-skilled, self-motivated professional, capable of managing workload fluctuation and prioritizing tasks. A successful candidate will set up clear communication channels and develop systems and strategies to deal with a fast-paced corporate environment and sometimes unpredictable workload. Primary duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
 

  • Provide confidential administrative support to the Senior Vice President, Corporate Development, China; including typing, report compilation, expense reports, copying, faxing, filing, and other clerical functions.
  • Prepare and produce various routine and ad-hoc reports of a standard to complex nature as assigned, utilizing independent judgment, analysis, and innovation regarding format layout.
  • Ensure reports are distributed to all required individuals.
  • Handle details of a highly confidential and critical nature.
  • Prioritize and direct incoming business matters in a timely & efficient manner.
  • Act as a liaison to other corporate groups and internal and external contacts.
  • Coordinate team schedules, travel, and meeting logistics.
  • Create documents and presentations as required.
  • Compose letters and memoranda from verbal direction or from knowledge of company policy and procedures.
  • Coordinate meetings and conference calls.
  • In absence of supervision, exercise judgment in assessing levels of urgency and forwarding to appropriate personnel for handling.
  • Send all overnight package shipments on time.
  • Work as a team player in collaboration with other administrative support staff.
  • Complete and manage projects as assigned.
  • Performs other duties as required.
  • Travel domestic and international as needed.

Job Qualifications and Requirements
 

  • Must be fluent in Mandarin and English.
  • Ability to work late afternoon into the evenings required.
  • Experience working with senior level managers, exercising professionalism and discretion.
  • Outstanding communication, organizational and interpersonal skills; strong customer service.
  • Strong detail orientation with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Proactively manage tasks and workloads; flexible, able to adapt/adjust with short notice.
  • Capable of making good judgments, anticipate needs, and the ability to work independently.
  • Maintain positive, professional relationships with personnel at all levels of the organization.
  • Expert knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project preferred.

Education and Experience
 

  • Business degree (7+ years of combined college education and work experience may be substituted for a degree).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an administrative assistant (experience supporting executive level management).
  • Experience and/or interest in the Biotech/Pharma industry.

  • Language Requirement: Must be fluent in Mandarin and English
  • Work Schedule Requirement:  Ability to work late afternoon into the evenings
  • Work Location Requirement:  On-Site San Diego Office
