Your mission 

Resolve´s technical operations in San José is currently focusing on customer service using our proprietary Molecular Cartography technology. We are expanding our activities in the US and add supply chain management & logistics for instruments and reagents, application development in close cooperation with customers and our central R&D team as well as service, maintenance, and start-up support for our installed base. We are looking for an experienced hands-on engineer or scientist with relevant expertise in building and leading professional laboratory teams including scientists and associates.
The qualified candidate will be accountable for delivering the right services for our US customers. This role ensures adequate training and qualifying criteria are provided to staff. The Head of Technical Operations also drives continuous improvement by proactively seeking opportunities for the elimination of wasteful practices. This role is critical in sustaining a highly collaborative environment that aligns with company’s mission, vision, core values, and growth strategy.


Oversees and directs the transfer, planning, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing and service processes in close cooperation with our European service and development organization.

Prepares documentation, reports, and standard operating procedures as required.

Ensures the effective use of materials, equipment, and employees in producing quality products and services.

May monitor and control labor and capital expenditures.

Selects develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Develop and deliver department vision, strategy, and key performance indicators.

Accountable for delivery of results through effective management of safety, quality, supply, cost, and people.

Provide department budgeting assessment and operate within budget.

Lead and support Operational Excellence initiatives to drive continuous improvements and challenge of status quo.

Support training and development of the technical team seeking high performance targets.

Lead the transfer of MC platform and protocol from R&D center in Monheim to Service Operations in San José.

Facilitate application development and promote collaboration with partners in North America.

Promote practical problem-solving approach at all levels of the department for improvements.

Support the business development and project management lifecycles for client projects/activities.

Promote a positive work environment that rewards accountability and engenders trust in every interaction.


Your profile

Masters degree in Science, Chemical Engineering, or other directly related disciplines with 10+ years of industry experience with a minimum of 6 years being in progressive leadership roles in a life science service business.  

Experience/knowledge with Continuous Improvement/LEAN methodologies.

Knowledge of MRP/ERP Systems.

Must possess the ability to bridge relationships with a variety of individuals internal and external to the site and organization.
