YOUR MISSION
We are immediately looking for a Purchasing and Logistics Coordinator(m/f/d) in our office in San Jose California. You will be responsible for the coordination of purchasing and logistics and report to our Head of Logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
Purchasing
• Create and place purchase orders
• Monitor purchases through the delivery process and expedites orders
• Work with suppliers and the Quality team to resolve supply and non-conformance issues
Logistics
• Create shipment paperwork for international shipments
• Obtain quotes and arrange shipments with freight forwarders
• Monitor shipments until delivery
• Resolve claims for damaged shipments
• Prepare import and export clearances
• Packing and unpacking goods
• Matching packing lists with Invoice and releasing invoices to accounting
• Packing and unpacking material correctly and responsible for pick and pack including Dangerous goods
• Incoming and outgoing inspection of shipments
• Maintain shipping and receiving logs
• Maintain inventory of consumables and reagents
YOUR PROFILE
Minimum 3 years of experience in similar position
Experience with transportation of dangerous goods regulations
Knowledge of ERP (NetSuite or other ERP system)
Knowledge of lean principles and methods, such as Kanban, is a plus
Good communication skills with other departments and with external suppliers and forwarders
